Some people say that in Roero there is not much to do… but we don’t agree.
We would like to prove it to you by inviting you to pQlin winery in order to take part in our wine tourism experience.
It will be up to you to tell us whether it was worth it or not.
Now to let me explain more about what we will do together when you visit us.
Ah, I almost forgot, I am Margherita and with the help of my family I produce local wines.
In the last few years we have noticed that more and more people are buying and consuming wine, often without really knowing what they have in their glass.
Did it ever happen to you, at home or at a restaurant, that you uncorked a bottle of wine and knew absolutely nothing about that wine?
Well, we believe that in order to fully appreciate wine it is necessary to know at least a little bit about it ( it is not necessary to become an expert).
For this reason we have decided not only to make wine, but also to open the doors of our winery pQlin in Castagnito to anyone who is curious and would like to know more about the world of wine and the magnificent territory of Roero, which has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

How do these experiences work?
Here’s how we thought we would introduce you to our products and our territory:
1) Roero welcome
As soon as you enter the gates of pQlin, you will be like a guest to whom we will offer an unforgettable experience.
Reaching us by car is very convenient because we have plenty of space available.
You will then find a large green space that we have jokingly named “the Solarium of Roero”, for all intents and purposes, it is a scenic and sunny place where you can admire the beautiful surrounding hills.
We will welcome you according to typical Roero customs: some water and some seasonal local fruit (then of course
water will be followed by wine …).
We will then be ready to start telling you stories, legends and fascinating anecdotes about the Roero region.
After that we will move to the winery, the “magical” place where our wines take shape and acquire their character.
If you have never seen a winery it will be a very informative experience.
As a matter of fact, we will be happy to take you through, in total transparency, all the phases that allow us to produce our wines.
We are convinced that a more conscious consumer/wine lover is definitely happier.

3) Now it’s time to taste
Oh, we are finally ready to fill our glasses and get something to eat.
Obviously all our products are strictly local and of the highest quality.

How much do the visits at pQlin cost?
“Roero 100%” (our special tour with guided tasting) costs €10 per person; “Wine tasting in Ciabot” costs 30€; “Not Just Roero” costs 25€..
When is this experience available?
Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm and from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. On special request we will also consider other days and times.
Can I bring my dog?
Certainly, your 4-legged friend is also our friend!
What if it rains?
No problem, we have ample amount of indoor space and the experience will still be beautiful, delicious, educational and exciting.
Do children have to pay?
No, no charge for children and they can enjoy delicious non-alcoholic fruit juices, obviously made using Roerina fruit.
Can I buy wine in the cellar?
Of course, we also offer shipping in case you don’t have space or if you are visiting us by motorcycle. You can pay by cash, cards, PayPal, Satispay or bank transfer.
Where can I leave my car?
We have ample parking inside our gates and on the level just in front of our winery.
Which languages do you speak?
We can do our tours with tastings in Italian and in English. Other languages are available only upon specific request.
